Carbon dust allows for much more darkness and depth than graphite, and lends itself to the drama of high-contrast lighting that highlight intriguing forms and shadows. I’m excited to explore more in this minimalist style. This piece was shown in the Arvada Center’s “Big Draw” exhibition in 2023, and as far as I’m aware it was the only carbon dust piece included. Prints are archival inks on high quality matte paper.
